Insert videos

You can directly upload videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and Dailymotion and use them in your documents.

To insert videos,

1. Click More > Insert tab.
2. Under Pictures & Tables, click Videos.
3. Use the search tab to search for videos. You can also directly enter the public URL of the video in the search tab.
4. Click Insert.

To disable video embeds, go to Settings > Preferences and uncheck the "Automatically embed video from links" option.

Embed presentations, charts, or videos

You can use the embed option to include charts, videos, and presentations across files. In your Writer document, you can embed published presentations from Zoho Show, charts from Zoho Sheet, and reports from Zoho Reports.

To embed content,

1. Click More > Inserttab.
2. Click Embed under References & Comments.
3. Paste the embed code in the box and click Embed. The content will be embedded in your document.

For example, if you want to embed a chart from Zoho sheet, follow the steps below:

Embed chart in your Writer document.

1. Create a new chart or open an existing chart using Zoho Sheet.
2. Click the Share button in your Sheet file and choose the Publish option.
3. You can find an embed code snippet in the popup. Copy the code snippet and enter in your Writer document. Once you insert the embed link, you can double click on the embedded media in your document to make any changes.

Resizing embeds and text around embeds

Writer allows you to embed content from many web services. Embedded text or videos can be moved or resized based on your requirements.

You can also apply border to your embedded content and re-align the thumbnail to control the flow of text around these embeds.
