Set up Zotero Extension in Zoho Writer

Zotero Extension for Citation Management

Overview 

Setting up Zotero Extension in Zoho Writer involves two steps.
  1. Obtain Zotero API Key & User ID
    1. Log in to zotero.org → Profile → Settings → Security → Applications.
    2. Copy your User ID.
    3. Create a New Private Key, assign permissions, save, and copy the API Key.
  2. Install and Configure Extension
    1. Install the Zotero extension from marketplace.zoho.com in Writer.
    2. Enter your API Key and User ID in the extension.
    3. The panel will display all your references, ready for citing or adding new ones in the document.

Steps

Step 1 : Login to Zotero.org to obtain API Key and UserId to connect Writer and Zotero 

  1. Login to zotero.org
  2. Go to your profile by clicking on your name



  3. Go to Settings > Security Scroll Down to Applications 
  4. Copy the User Id for reference


  5. Give a new key name and all required permissions and click save to generate the API Key.



  6. Copy the API key for reference.

Step 2 : Install Zotero Extension from marketplace.zoho.com

  1. On successful installation you will find the extension on right band of the editor as shown below.

  2. Configure the copied API Key and User Id as shown to connect to Zotero for you cite or add new references.

  3. Now, the Panel opens with all references to be used in your documents.
