Prerequisites for Merge&Email, Merge&Sign, Sign and Combine and Store APIs in Writer

For the Merge and EmailMerge and SignSign or Combine and Store APIs to work, initially, you need to access the 'Automate' panel from Writer UI once before sending the API request.

Please follow the below steps to know how to access the Automate panel from Writer UI:

1. Go to  Writer Dashboard > Create New > Merge Template > Create from Scratch. Other integration users (say Zoho CRM, Zoho People, Zoho Recruit, Orchestly and Zoho Form) can directly open the templates. 



2. Type some content in the editor and click on 'Automate' from the left panel.




It is enough if you access the Automate panel inside Writer UI only once (ie) for the first time alone. It's NOT necessary that this needs to be done every time before sending an API request.
