How to change the format of an inserted date in Writer?

1. After inserting the date in your document using the Date field option, simply click on the inserted date in the document > Configure Date.

2. The Custom Date Autofield dialog box lets you change the locale and date format as you please. You can also go ahead and give this date a field name and reuse it throughout your document and the changes done to this date field will reflect in other places of the document where the same date field has been used as well.
