How to share a document so collaborators can only fill fields without editing content
Overview
Zoho Writer lets you share documents in edit field values mode, where collaborators can enter information into designated fillable fields but cannot modify the rest of the content. This is ideal for agreements, contracts where the main text must remain unchanged. For example, a Non-Disclosure Agreement can be filled by both the parties collaboratively.
Steps
- Create a document and insert fillable fields.
- Click Share at the top right corner of the screen and add the collaborators to whom you wish to share the document to.
- Choose View and fill as the access level.
- Enable Track Changes to track field values to see the value each collaborator has entered in the fields as a timeline, and you can choose to accept or reject them as necessary. It gives the information about the change, reviewed By (User) and reviewed On (Date) etc. The field value changes can be accepted or rejected like changes made to the content.
