Next Paragraph Style

How to define the next style to follow a paragraph or heading

Overview

Using Next Paragraph Style, you can now repeat styles in your document without having to format them every time. This sets the style to follow the current paragraph or heading when you press Enter or Return to a paragraph.

Steps

  1. Click Format > Paragraph Style.
  2. Set your desired paragraph style to appear in this document.
  3. Click Apply to current document. You can also save this as a new design to be applied across documents.

Note

This setting is only applied when typing paragraphs. For example: If you apply the style to a certain paragraph, it will not automatically change the style of the existing paragraph following it. Only the new paragraph that will be created when placing the insertion point at the end of the paragraph and pressing the Return key will have the new style.
