How to start page numbering from a specific page in a document

Overview

By default, Zoho Writer begins numbering pages from the first page and continues sequentially throughout the document. But what if you want the numbering to begin on, say, page 5—perhaps to skip a cover page or table of contents? The solution is to use a Section Break (Next Page) to divide your document into parts, then insert page numbers within the target section only. This gives you full control over where numbering begins.

Steps

The default page numbering system will start on the first page, and continue until the last page. To use start page number from a specific page

Step 1: After you place your cursor in the page from which you wish to start numbering, Go to Insert Tab --> Page Break --> Section Break --> Next page

Step 2: Double click on the header area, and on the Header & Footer tab, go to Page Number, and under Origin, select Starts from Current Section.
