Managing Zoho Writer extensions
Extend the capabilities of Zoho Writer with extensions from Zoho Marketplace. This user guide will familiarize you with the procedure to install and manage Writer extensions.
You can view all available Writer extensions on this page in Zoho Marketplace.
To use an extension, you will need to:
- Install the extension
- Authorize the extension
Whenever needed, you can:
- Revoke the authorization for an extension
- Hide/Show an extension
- Uninstall an extension
Installing an extension
To locate the desired extension,
Log in to Zoho Marketplace, and go to the Writer page to view the list of all available extensions. From the list of extensions, locate the one that you need and click it.
If you know the name of the extension that you are looking for, use the search option to go to the extension's page directly.
2. In the extension's page, click the Install button.
3. In the Confirm Installation window that opens up, complete your profile.
4. Check the Allow Marketplace vendors to contact me regarding product offers and promotions option if needed.
5. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of the vendor and Zoho Marketplace, and accept them.
6. Click the Install button.
Authorizing an extension
You will be only able to use an extension after you authorize it by providing the credentials that the app can use while posting or
performing the expected function in the target app/platform.
To authorize:
Go to Writer.
Click the Settings icon at the top-right corner.
From the options, click Extensions.
You can also click the extensions icon on the right, go to Extensions and click the gear icon to get to the Manage
Installed Extensions window.

4. Click the "More option"s icon of the extension that you wish to authorize, and click the Authorize option. 
5. In the Connections page that opens up, click the Connect button placed for the extension that you wish to authorize.
6. In the new page that opens up, click Connect, then click Accept to complete the authorization process.

If you want to stop the app from posting content on the target platform using your credentials, you can use the Remove the Authentication option.
To revoke the authentication,
1. Click the Settings icon located at the top-right corner.
2. From the options, click Extensions.
You can also click the extensions icon on the right, go to Extensions and click the gear icon to get to the Manage Installed Extensions window.
4. Click the More options icon of the extension that you wish to authorize, and click the Remove the Authentication option.
5. In the Connections page that opens up, click the Revoke button.
6. On the Revoke Connection page that opens up, click Revoke to complete the authentication removal process.
Hide, show, and uninstall extensions
By default, all installed extensions are displayed in the Extensions tab. You can decide which apps should be displayed in the Extensions tab, using this option. You can also uninstall the unused apps, to declutter the Extensions tab.
To hide/show an extension:
1. Click the extensions icon on the right, go to Extensions. You will be able to view all the extensions that are already installed.
2. Click the gear icon to get to the Manage Installed Extensions window.
3. To hide/show an extension,
- In the Manage Installed Extensions pop-up, locate the extension that you wish to hide, and click the more options icon.
- Click Hide Extension from the list of options. The extension will be removed from the Extensions tab. Click Done.
- Click Show Extension from the list of options. The extension will be now be displayed in the Extensions tab. Click Done.
5. To uninstall an extension:
- In the Manage Installed Extensions pop-up, locate the extension that you wish to uninstall. Click the more options icon and select Uninstall from marketplace, to uninstall the extension.
6. Click Done.
