How to install and manage Zoho Writer extensions

You can extend Zoho Writer’s capabilities by installing extensions from the Zoho Marketplace.

Installing an Extension  

To install a Writer extension:
  1. Go to Zoho Marketplace → the Writer section → view available extensions.
  2. Use search (if needed) to find a specific extension.


  3. On the extension’s page, click Install.
  4. In the “Confirm Installation” dialog:
    1. Fill out your profile
    2. (Optional) Tick “Allow Marketplace vendors to contact me...”
    3. Accept the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
  5. Click Install again to complete.

Authorizing an Extension 

After installation, you must authorize the extension for it to work:
  1. In Zoho Writer, click the Settings icon (top-right).



  2. Choose Extensions from the menu.
  3. (Alternatively) Use the Extensions icon → gear icon → “Manage Installed Extensions.”
  4. For the desired extension, click the More options icon → Authorize.
  5. In the Connections page, click Connect → Accept in the next prompt to finalize authorization.

Revoking Authorization  

If you want to stop the extension from acting with your credentials:
  1. Go to Settings → Extensions.
  2. Or via Extensions icon → gear → Manage Installed Extensions.
  3. Find the extension → More options → Remove the Authentication.
  4. In the Connections page, click Revoke.
  5. Confirm by clicking Revoke in the confirmation page.

Hiding / Showing Extensions  

You can control which installed extensions are shown in your Extensions tab:
  1. Navigate: Extensions icon → Extensions → gear → Manage Installed Extensions.



  2. To hide: More options → Hide Extension → Done.
  3. To show: More options → Show Extension → Done.

Uninstalling an Extension  

To remove an extension entirely:
  1. In Manage Installed Extensions, locate the extension.


  2. Click More options → Uninstall from marketplace.
  3. Click Done.
