Zoho Writer outlines four primary causes and remedies for missing images in exported documents:

1. Image Size Is Too Large
   

   • If the inserted image exceeds 10 MB, it will not appear in the PDF export.

   • Solution: Resize or compress the image so it's under 10 MB. 

2. Authenticated (Protected) Image Links
   

   • Images that are embedded via external URLs requiring login—or otherwise access-controlled—won’t be included during conversion.

   • Solution: Download the image to your local computer and insert it directly into the Writer document. 

3. Unsupported Image Formats (Base64 or WMF)
   

   • Embedded images using Base64 encoding or the WMF format are incompatible and will be excluded from exports.

   • Solution: Use widely supported formats like JPEG, JPG, or PNG. 

4. Oversized Floating Images
   

   • Floating images that exceed the page width (too wide to fit) may fail to render in PDFs.

   • Solution: Resize images so they fit within the page margins.
