What are email statuses in ZeptoMail? | Zoho ZeptoMail

What do the statuses in Processed emails section denote?

Every message sent out from ZeptoMail will take up one of the statuses mentioned below.
  • Queued - A temporary state before the email is sent.
  • Processed - Email was successfully sent from ZeptoMail's email server.
  • Delivered - Email was delivered to the intended recipient.
  • Process failed - When the email's request was received, but was not processed from ZeptoMail's servers. There could be multiple reasons for 'process failed' emails, with the most common one being a suppressed recipient address. Verify the recipient details and retry email-sending.
  • Soft bounce - When the email temporarily bounced back to the sender or could not be delivered to the recipient due to temporary reasons. ZeptoMail will try to deliver the email for some time before marking it as a hard bounce.
  • Hard bounce - When the email could not be delivered due to a permanent failure and was returned to the sender.
  • Multiple status - Multiple status is a case where there are multiple recipients and each has different process statuses. You can view the status of each recipient by clicking on the email to view more details.
For eg., if your email has 4 recipients in which 2 were processed successfully and 2 are hard bounced, then the status will be multiple status. If all 4 emails were processed successfully, then the status will be 'Processed'.
