Funnels in Zoho Apptics

Funnels in Zoho Apptics

Overview

Funnel analysis helps you to visualize how users navigate through defined user pathways and understand the nitty-gritties like how many users complete each step, how many drop off at each step, and how many make it to the end of the funnel successfully.

In Apptics, you can create your own funnel flows based on screens and events tracked in Apptics for the app. Funnel flows are the defined pathways that contain a sequence of steps, i.e., screens you want your users to visit and actions you want your users to take to accomplish an end goal.

Idea
Example: You want to know how many users have successfully onboarded in your app. You can create a funnel flow that contains a set of screens and events that users should take to get onboarded.
Here, the end goal is to have the user onboarded and the funnel flow should have steps to achieve it. The funnel flow should be:
Sign up (event) > OTP verification (event) > Profile update (event) > Home (screen).

Create funnel flow

  1. Navigate to Marketers > Funnel and click on Add funnel.
  2. Add the goal as the funnel name.
  3. Click on + Add step and provide the step name.
  4. Select the category type, i.e., screen or event. If you want the user to visit a screen, select screen and select the screen name.
  5. If you want the user to take take some action within the app, select the category type as event. Then select the event group and event name.

  1. Similarly add the next steps in the funnel. Once the funnel flow is complete, click Create funnel.
Notes
Note: You can create a Goal with a minimum of two steps and a maximum of 10 steps.

Analyze funnels

  1. Once you create and add funnels, you will be able to see the list of all the funnels.

  1. Click on the individual funnel to see detailed conversion and drop-off stats for the funnel.

  1. You can view detailed stats like the total number of unique devices that used the flow, number of times the flow was accessed overall, the conversion rate, and the drop-off rate.
  2. Further, you can see the step-wise conversion and drop-off rates and drill-down data based on the default attributes like platform, application ID, app version, OS/browser version, device type, device model, and country.

  1. Click on individual tabs to get details based on various attributes like platform, application ID, app version, OS/browser version, device type, device model, and country.
