Session Tracking in Zoho Apptics

Overview

A session records the time for which a user interacts with your app. Each session records the duration and frequency of user interactions within the app. You can measure and analyze all the sessions that happen within your app.

A session starts once the user opens the app and runs it in the foreground. And the session duration lasts until the user closes the app or pushes the app to the background.

In Apptics, sessions are tracked by default along with crashes and some selected screens using the analytics SDK. Once the SDK integration is done, you will be able to view the list of all the sessions that have been recorded for your app in the console.

Analyze sessions in Apptics console

  1. Navigate to Engagement > Sessions.
  2. Get an overview with stats like the total number of sessions, the number of active devices, the total session duration, and the average session duration for the selected date range.

  1. Below these stats, you will see a list of all sessions for your app categorized based on session duration. In the sessions list, you can view the platforms, the total session count, active devices, and average session on which the sessions were recorded.
  2. When you click on a session duration, you can drill down stats across app versions, browser/OS versions, platforms, devices, and countries within the session module in the console.

Export sessions

You can export the sessions data in the form of a .csv file by clicking on Export option given above the sessions list.
