App versions

Overview

The app versions module in Apptics helps you get an overview of the app version distribution across devices for your app. You can see how many devices use every app version (app version adoption range) and how many of them have adopted the latest app version for the selected application ID.

Control app versions

You can archive, retrieve, and manage the order of app versions for your app from Control app versions page.

Navigate to App version > Control app versions and you will see a list of all the app versions available for the selected application ID.

Archive app versions

If you archive an app version, the associated data will not be available in the console and no further tracking will happen for the archived version. The list of all the archived app versions will be available in the archive list.

Retrieve an archived app version

You can unarchive an app version that was archived earlier from the archive list. When you retrieve an existing app version, the associated data will be available in the console again.

Retrieving an archived app version might affect the order of the app version, especially if the app version was the latest one before getting archived.

Re-order app versions

You can reorder app versions by a simple drag-and-drop of versions and confirm changing the order of versions.

Reordering app versions can affect in-app updates you configure for your app, since the recent app version might also change.

Note: Only the project manager, development leads, and developers can archive, retrieve, and reorder app versions.
