Configuring meeting recordings in Cliq
Audio / Video meetings in Cliq are recordable. However, the admin of the organization has the highest precedence over the recording configurations and control over how the users of the organization make use of the call recordings functionality in Cliq.
Follow the below steps to configure call recording in Cliq:
- Navigate to Admin Panel -> Configurations -> Recording
- Enable the Meeting toggle button
- Select Common configurations. The following options are made available under Common configurations
- Allow host(s) to decide: An option is provided for the Host to enable or disable meeting recording
- Record all meetings: All meeting calls will be recorded
- Forbid recording: Meeting recording will be disabled for all calls
- Select a preferable option from the above to set common recording configuration and Click on Save.
Follow the below steps to configure recording settings when a meeting is invoked from a specific channel:
- Select Specific configurations. The following channel / chats specific configurations are made available under Specific configurations:
- Organization Channel
- Team Channel
- Personal Channel
- External Channel
- Ad-hoc Chats
Adjacent to each of these Channels / Chats, are dropdowns. Clicking on them you'll find the following options made available:
- Allow host(s) to decide: An option is provided for the Host to enable or disable meeting recording
- Record all meetings: All meeting calls will be recorded
- Forbid recording: Meeting recording will be disabled for all calls
- Select a preferable option from the above to apply the following recording settings, when a meeting is invoked from a specific channel and Click on Save.
*The recording option is only available for the paid plan
