How does Cliq licensing work?
Cliq provides licensing to your organization's employees in the following ways:
When your organization upgrades from the trial or free plan or reduces the number of licenses, priority is given to super admins and admins for license allocation. Remaining licenses are then assigned to other employees based on their most recent activity in Cliq. Employees are marked as paid users according to the available licenses, while any employees beyond the license limit will be designated as free users.
Let's say your organization has 100 employees and you have purchased 50 licenses, out of which five are super admins and admins. The licenses will then be given to the super admins and admins first. Based on the order of the recent usage, the first 45 employees that use Cliq will be given licenses, and the rest will be marked under the free plan.
Let's say Cliq has given you a license based on usage, and you want to change a few free users to paid users. You can do so by either purchasing more licenses or by interchanging paid and free licenses between the users in your organization.
Note:
- If a user is marked as inactive, they will be categorized as a free user.
- If your organization decides to increase the license plan, then the admin will have to assign the plan to the users manually.
To change the plan of the users, do the following:
- Navigate to the admin panel and select Users under Users & Profiles.
- In the drop-down select Paid users or Free users.
- Check the box of the user you want to change the plan for and select Assign license or Revoke license based on your requirement.
