How can an admin manage channels created by users in the organization?

An admin can manage the channels created by a user in the organization. To do so, follow the below steps:
  1. Navigate to the Admin Panel. Under Resource Management, select Channels.
  2. The channels are classified into Active and Archived.

Note:

  • As an admin, you can view the channel management module, but you will only be able to make changes if the super admin has enabled the permission for your role.

  • You can change participant roles, channel type, and add participants to channel from the resource management.

  • You can archive or delete active channels and unarchive or delete archived channels from the resource management.

Active and archived

Under each tab, you will be able to do the following:
  • View: All the channels that are active/archived will be listed here. The order of the channels listed will be based on the last activity time. You will be able to view the channel name, participant count, admin of the channel, team the channel belongs to, and the last activity time.
  • Search: You can search for a channel by entering the channel name.
  • Search based on channel type: You can filter your search based on the channel type such as Organization, Team, Personal or External Channel.
  • Filter: You can filter channels belonging to a specific admin or team.
  • Edit: Upon selecting a channel, you will be able to view and perform all the actions related to permissions and participants available for the channel admin here. You can also edit an active channel's information.
