To restrict user access to certain specific IPs, do the following:
- Click on your contact image and navigate to the Admin Panel.
- Under Permissions, select Allowed IPs.
- Under Allowed IPs, you will find two options: Restrict across Zoho and Restrict Cliq.
Restrict across Zoho
This option allows access only from the specified IP addresses across all Zoho apps. Organization users can log in to their accounts only from authorized systems by adding the IP addresses here.
- Select the radio button and click the "Add IP Address" button.
- Enter the IP addresses from which users can log in, either as static IPs or an IP range. Any login attempt outside of these ranges will block your account from accessing any Zoho apps.Your current IP - Your current IP address will be displayed. You can select this option and add a name to it. This will allow you to access any Zoho apps using your IP address.
Note:
If you run on a dynamic IP and you want Zoho apps to be accessible for a set of IP addresses and restrict the rest, make sure to add your IP address to the range, or else you will not be able to access when you login again.
- Add static IPs - When you work on standard IP addresses, you can add the IP and name to access and restrict the rest.
- Set IP range - If you want Zoho apps to be accessible for a set of IP addresses, you can use this option.
- If you choose to restrict access across Zoho, the device restriction will apply to Android and iOS mobile apps, web, and TV. Users will still be able to log in from other devices not listed here.
- Fill in your specifications and click "Save." To add more restrictions, you can select "Save and New."
Restrict Zoho Cliq
This option is to set IP restrictions to access Zoho Cliq. Users will be able to access Cliq only through the specified IPs. Organization admins can add the IP addresses here and restrict users from accessing their account from unauthorized IPs.
- Select the radio button and click the "Add IP Address" button.
- You can select if you want to apply this restriction to the entire organization, specific roles, specific teams, or room devices.
- Enter the IP addresses from which users can log in, either as static IPs or an IP range. Any login attempt outside of these ranges will block your account from accessing Zoho Cliq.
- Your current IP - Your current IP address will be displayed. You can select this option and add a name to it. This will allow you to access Zoho Cliq using your IP address.
Note:
If you run on a dynamic IP and you want Zoho Cliq to be accessible for a set of IP addresses and restrict the rest, make sure to add your IP address to the range, or else you will not be able to access Cliq when you login again.
- Add a static IP - When you work on a standard IP address, you can add the IP and name to access and restrict the rest.
- Set IP range - If you want it Cliq to be accessible for a set of IP addresses, you can use this option.
- You can select which devices you want to restrict Zoho Cliq from the following options: Android, iOS, Web, and TV.
- Fill in your specifications and click "Save." To add more restrictions, you can select "Save and New."
Note:
- You can add up to 150 IP addresses in total (restriction across Zoho apps and only for Cliq) under Save/Save & Add New.
IP Address Restriction Listing
After adding your restrictions, they will be displayed in a list with key details such as the name, IP addresses, applicable users, devices, and a toggle button. As an admin, you can easily enable or disable any restriction using the toggle button. Additionally, you can click on the 'More' option to view, edit, or delete the listing.
- Edit - You can update your IP address listing.
- View - You can view the details of your IP address listing. Here you can select the edit icon or delete icon to update or delete your listing.
- Delete - You can delete this IP address restriction.
Mobile restriction - Android
When an Android device is restricted, the following screen will be displayed. If you have multiple accounts, you can switch to a different account.
Mobile restriction - iOS
When an iOS device is restricted, the following screen will be displayed. If you have multiple accounts, you can switch to a different account.
Admin Note:
- Typing the wrong IP address will lead to inaccessibility of Cliq.
- If you want to delete an IP address, you will be redirected to accounts.zoho.com page for password authentication.
- You can delete an IP address within 300 seconds from the time of the previous password authentication.
