How to set permissions in Cliq audio / video meeting?

To manage permissions and general configurations for your Cliq Audio/Video meetings and stay in control of your meetings, follow these steps:
  1. Start by scheduling an online audio/video meeting in Cliq.
  1. Scroll down to the bottom. Here, you will find the Permissions option.
  1. Click on Permissions to access a set of options and configurations available.
  1. Enable or disable permissions based on your preferences.
  1. Once you have configured the permissions and general settings as desired, click on Close and continue with adding meeting details.
Note: The permission option will only be made available for Online Meeting.
 
  1. Click on the Permissions option.
  1. You have three action based permission here:
    1. Start Screen Share
    1. Access Grid View
    1. Share Presentation
Provide action based permissions as per your requirement for co-host, org members, and external users by checking the respective boxes
 
  1. View Meeting Recording:
    • Enable this permission for:
      • Only the host
      • Host & Co-host(s)
      • All participants
      • All attendees and invited users
This allows users to view meeting recordings once the meeting begins, accessible from the Files tab in the recording section.
  1. Generate Transcript, Summary, and Action Items for Recorded Meetings:
    • This feature is available when transcript and summary are enabled for meetings.
  1. Allow External Users to Bypass Waiting Room via Public Invite Link:
    • Enable this option to allow external users to join the audio/video meeting instantly without host approval.
  1. Chat Access for Guest Users:
    • Enable this option to let guest users participate in chat during audio/video meetings.
  1. Meeting Discussions in Chat:
    • Choose between:
      • Create a new thread: Creates a new thread for meeting discussions.
      • Continue in the channel: Allows users to continue discussions in the channel itself.
  1. Mandate Requesting Permission to Edit Whiteboard:
    • Enable this option to let the host approve or deny requests for editing whiteboard permissions.
  1. Gestures:
    • Enable this option to allow users to react via gestures during audio/video meetings.
  1. Reactions:
    • Enable this option to allow users to react with basic or all reactions during audio/video meetings.
 
To adjust permissions during an ongoing audio/video meeting, the host can follow these steps:
  1. Click on the three dots located in the bottom menu of your audio/video meeting screen.
  1. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  1. Here, the host can modify permissions as needed, even while the meeting is in progress.

Here you will be able to configure permissions based on roles and some general configurations mentioned above.

Device settings

Here, you have the ability to make setting related to your camera, microphone, and speaker to ensure optimal audio and video quality during meetings.

Background and Filters 

Here, you have the option to personalize your meeting experience by selecting backgrounds and filters that reflect your style and environment. These features allow you to enhance your visual presence and create a professional or engaging atmosphere during meetings.

Personal Configurations 

Here, you can customize and apply pre-defined settings tailored to your preferences for calls and meetings.

Network Performance 

Here you will be able to view the quality of your network performance more accurately. By examining these parameters, you can determine whether your network is operating optimally for audio and video transmission.
Note:
  • The channel permissions will always override the meeting permissions in a channel.
  • If the admin of the channel has enabled "Let the host decide" for Start a chat for any meeting under channel permissions, only then will the host of the meeting be able to configure whether to create a new thread or continue in the channel.
  • Once a meeting is scheduled, the meeting permissions cannot be updated.
