Recording Cliq meetings
How to record meetings in Cliq
All the meetings held in Cliq can be recorded by the host and can be accessed from the recording tab in the files section. If you are unable use the record button, this may be due to the restrictions applied by the admin, please refer Configuring meeting recordings in Cliq help page for a better understanding.
Enabling meeting recording in Cliq
- Navigate to Profile and Settings
- Select Meetings
- The following options are made available for you to choose from.
- Record all calls - All the meetings initiated by the host will be recorded.
- Do not record - The meetings initiated by the Host will not be recorded.
- Remember my last choice - The recording option you choose for your previous meeting will by default be applied for your future meetings
Note: These settings will be applicable only for the meetings that you host.
Where can I see my meeting recordings in Cliq?
You can quickly access the meetings that were initiated by you and the ones that you were a part of in the recording tab in the files section.
- All recording
This section consists of:
- The recordings of the meetings for which you had enabled recording
- The recordings that were shared with you
- The recordings that you were a part of for which the host had enabled meeting recording
- My meetings: Consists of the meetings that you have enabled recording for and the recordings that you were a part of for which the host had enabled meeting recording
- Shared with me: Has the meeting recordings that are shared with you.
Meeting recordings are also made accessible from History -> Meetings section.
Furthermore, once the meeting is over the recording will be posted in the group chat/channel from which the group call was initiated or will be posted in the ad-hoc chat in case you had initiated the call by streaming in participants.
Can I view the meeting recordings that I was a part of in cliq?
Yes, you will be able to view the meeting that you were a part of provided, the host who initiated the call chooses to record the video call session.
How can I share my Cliq meeting recordings?
Follow the below steps to access the meeting recordings from the recording tab in the files section.

Hover over the recording

Click on the kebab menu (three dots)

Click on Share
- Search and add the recipients
- Click on Share
Note: The individuals you share your recordings with will only have view access.
How can I revoke access for meeting recording in Cliq?
To revoke access for a recording, navigate to Recordings tab in the files section.

Click on the kebab menu (three dots)

Click on Share

Hover over the individuals you want to revoke access for from the Shared with list

Click the kebab menu (3 dots) select Revoke access
How to secure your meeting recording?
You can secure your meeting recording by setting a password and an expiration date for it. Follow the below the steps to do so:
- Hover over the recording
- Click on the kebab menu (three dots)
- Click on Share
- Click on Get shareable link
- Enter a meeting name for your reference
- Click on Turn on password protected sharing
- Enter a password
- Set a expiration date
- Click on Get Link
- Click on Done
Can I share a meeting recording that was shared with me?
No, you can't share the meeting recordings that are shared with you.
Can I share meeting recording with an external user?
No, you can only share the call recordings within and between Cliq organizations.
How can I record an ongoing Cliq meeting?
To record an ongoing Cliq meeting call, Click on the kebab menu (3 dots) and select start recording. Once the meeting is over the recording will be posted in the group chat/channel from which the meeting was initiated or will be posted in the ad-hoc chat in case you had initiated the call by streaming in participants.
*The recording feature is only available for the paid plan
