What are roles in a channel in Cliq and how do I view them?

Each member of a channel has a specific role to perform. These roles help them perform channel actions depending on the granted permissions. There are five roles in a channel : Super Admin, Channel Admin, Moderator, Member and Bot.
  1. Super Admin: The Super Admin status has the most privileges. They have complete control over a channel's actions. By default, the super admins will be the admins of the organization or team channel. The creator will be the super admin for external and personal channels.
  2. Admin: The super admin assigns the role of admin to all channels. In organizational and team channels, the creator is the channel's admin.
  3. Moderator: The role of a moderator is assigned to members by super admin and admin. It is next to that of an admin.
  4. Member: All the other users in the channel are considered as members.
  5. Bot: The role of a bot can be to automate certain tasks, send notifications, and set reminders. Different bots perform different functions and can be chosen from a list of pre-built or custom-built bots.
 
Note : If a channel's creator (excluding org admins and team admins) leaves the channel, they will be assigned the role of 'Members' when they rejoin.
 
To view roles in a channel:
  1. Click the participants count icon in the chat header.
  2. A list of participants' names categorized based on their role will appear.
