How do I edit a message that has been sent in Cliq?

To edit a message:
  1. Hover over the message you want to edit.
  2. Click the kebab menu( 3 dots menu) that appears.
  3. Select the Edit option.

  1. In the text area that appears, type the text you want to edit. You can also check the box to notify the chat participants about the edited message.
  2. Click on Save to update the changes made.
Once the message gets updated, an "Edited" message will appear next to the message. You can click on it to view Edit history that displays all the changes that are made.

 

The user will be able to see the group conversation until the point of their exit. If a message in that conversation is edited, the user will be able to see the changes in Conversations under History.
 
The time limit for editing a message depends on the configuration settings by your admin and can range from 1 minute to 60 days.
 
Admin Note:
To set a time limit to edit messages:
  1. Click on your profile picture and go to the Admin Panel
  2. Under Organization, select Configurations and then select Conversations Module.
  3. Set a time frame to edit under Edit messages and then click Save.
 
Tip : To edit your most recent sent message, press the Up Arrow key.
