What actions can I perform on a message? Are they customizable?

Cliq offers a set of actions that can be used while sending messages known as the Message Actions. You have a couple of built-in options to pick from and customize them to meet your specific requirements. When you hover over a message you will find 6 icons in the right hand corner.

  • The first three icons are Thumbs upSuper, and Heavy plus sign. These quick emoji icons are default, but you can customize them.
  • The fourth icon is the Reactions icon, which allows you to respond to a message with emojis. Zomojis, Emojis, Live Zomojis, and Custom Emojis can all be sent.
  • The Reply icon is the fifth icon, which is an arrow pointing left. You can send a new message that includes a reference to the selected message.
Hint: To quickly access Reply, double tap on the space around a message.
  • The kebab menu is the last icon, which features three dots. When you click the icon, a list of options will appear.

  • On the list header, you will find SelectForward and Copy. The Select icon selects your current message. The Forward icon helps to forward the message/file to 1-1chats, group chats, channels and bots. For detailed info on forwarding, refer here. The Copy icon copies the message to the device clipboard.
  • Fork from here - This action is used when you want to fork a message to start a new conversation from a point.
  • Set Reminder - This action is used to set reminders for a particular message. You can pick a time, date and also type of reminder.
  • Mark as Unread - When you mark a message as unread, the chat will close and you will receive a message notification for the message. It'll be as if you've never read it before.
  • Edit This action is to edit a message sent in the last 24 hours. The time limit to edit can be customized in the configuration settings by the admin.
  • Delete This action is to delete a message sent in the last 24 hours. The time limit to delete can be customized in the configuration settings by the admin.
  • Copy Message URL - This action copies the URL of the message to the device clipboard.
  • Pin Message - This action pins a message to the top of the chat.
  • More - This action is used to customize message actions available in your organization.
