Anonymous Ally allows users to send anonymous messages and share anonymous polls in Zoho Cliq. It provides a secure and confidential environment for team members to express their thoughts, ideas, and feedback without revealing their identities. Anonymous Ally fosters honesty and transparency within your organization and teams, encouraging open communication, honest feedback, appreciation, and fostering a culture of trust.

• Go to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace and search for "Anonymous Ally for Zoho Cliq" or install it from here →.
  
  

• Specify if you want to install the extension for your entire organization or specific teams and click Install.

• Accept the permission requests for the extension, and you're good to go.

Features

1. Send anonymous messages or polls
Create a safe space for your employees to ask questions and opinions, raise issues, share feedback and appreciation with anonymous messages and polls.

• Once installed, click on the Send Anonymous bot menu action below the composer or Share Anonymously in the welcome message.

• Once done, a Share Anonymously form opens

Share an Anonymous Message

• Choose Message and type in the message you want to send anonymously in the form field and add an attachment if you'd like.

• Select the Channel in which you want to post the anonymous message and hit Send.

• Messages sent anonymously through the bot will appear as sent by "Guest 1" and so on. This randomized alias preserves anonymity and keeps identities concealed while allowing different anonymous users to be distinguished.

Note: Not only are your messages sent anonymously, but there is also no "user is typing" indicator that could give away your identity.

Note: You can only send an anonymous message if the bot is a channel participant .

Friendly Tip 😉: If you add the Anonymous Ally Bot to a channel and send an anonymous message right away, someone might guess it is you since the invite info is public, so a little patience and caution are recommended.

Start an Anonymous Poll

• Choose Poll and type in the question, description, and the options to be polled anonymously. Click the Add an option checkbox to add up to 5 options, and check the  Allow Other option, to allow users to add a custom option.

• You can also configure finer controls such as,

• Whether to show the results to everyone.

• Allowing users to modify the poll once they have chosen an option.

• If multiple options can be selected in the poll.

• When the results should be displayed (anytime/ post voting/ after concluding the poll.)

• When the poll will end.
  

• Add an attachment/supporting media if you have any.

• Select the Channel in which you want to post the anonymous poll and hit Send.

• Users can poll and vote anonymously now!
  
  

 2. Widget
A streamlined view for all active, inactive, and participated anonymous polls. 

• Go to More Apps → "Anonymous Ally". You can view all the anonymous polls you've participated in, active running polls, and polls that are inactive/ have ended.

• You can also view statistics on all anonymous polls run from the last month, last 2, 3, 6, and 12 months on the number of polls created and the votes received.

• You can also Clear old data if polls become redundant.
  
  
  
  

✨  Bonus: You can do the same faster using a slash command "/anonymous" as well. Execute the command in any conversation you'd like and share polls and messages anonymously.  

 

3. Reply Anonymously 
Anonymity everywhere — reply anonymously to questions, options, feedback, and ideas shared for an
open and honest discussion.

• Select the message you want to reply to anonymously, click on the message actions → More → Reply Anonymously.  

• Type in the reply, add an attachment, and send.
