Google Calendar for Zoho Cliq streamlines your team's scheduling and ensures everyone stays informed and organized about upcoming events and meetings with notifications, event reminders, and more. Seamlessly merge your Google Calendar events with Zoho Cliq to enhance collaboration and productivity across your organization.
The extension is available in the following regions:
United States (US), India (IN), Europe (EU), Australia (AU), Canada (CN), and Japan (JP).
Installation
Go to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace and search for "Google Calendar for Zoho Cliq" or install it from here →.
Specify if you want to install the extension for your entire organization or specific teams and click Install.
Accept the extension's permission requests, and you're good to go.
Once installed, search for the Google Calendar bot and click on the Set Default Calendar button from the welcome message in the bot.
Choose Allow access to give permission to connect your Google account.
To further authorize, click Connect and choose the Google account with which you'd like to connect Zoho Cliq → Allow permissions, and you've successfully connected your account's Google calendar to Zoho Cliq.
Click on the Set Default Calendar button to select one calendar from the list of calendars, and you're set!
Features
1. Create Event
Effortlessly schedule meetings, organize events, and coordinate activities contextually and directly within Zoho Cliq.
Bot menu action : Go to the Google Calendar bot → find the + Create Event bot menu action below to create an event.
Slash command : Execute /gcal → Create event action.
Message action : Choose a message you'd like to convert into a Google calendar event → More → Search "Create Event" via Google Calendar.
Widget: Go to More apps → Search "Google Calendar" → "Create Event".
Once you've initiated creating an event in any of these ways, fill in the details:
Calendar: The default calendar is automatically selected for your convenience.
Title: Enter the event's title.
Start and end date of the event.
Attendees: Choose the event participants.
External guests: Enter the email addresses of external participants who are not part of your Zoho Cliq organization or team, separating each address with a comma.
Description: Any additional information, event agenda, or details can be added as an event description.
Once filled, click Schedule to create an event.
You can Update the event details or Delete the event it if you wish later.
2. Notifications
Receive timely notifications to scheduled meetings, events, or activities directly within Zoho Cliq, ensuring seamless communication and coordination, so your team doesn't miss a beat.
From the Google Calendar bot → Notifications → Grant access from the message card posted → click Allow access to confirm.
Calendar: Choose the calendar you'd like to receive event notifications for.
Event reminders sent: Configure when the event reminders would be sent (At the time of the event, 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minute before the event starts)
Events Updates: Choose whether you'd like to get notified when the event details get updated.
Event Cancellations: Choose whether you'd like to get notified when the event gets cancelled.
Get notified via: The Google Calendar bot or a channel of your choice. If channel, choose the specific channel you'd like to receive notifications in.
Once notifications are enabled, you can edit these configurations from the bot menu actions Notifications → Configure to either Modify them or Disable them.
This is how it would look when a new event is created and gets notified in a configured channel.
3. Event reminders
Receive timely reminders for your scheduled events, ensuring you never miss an important meeting or activity. With our reminders, you can stay organized and prepared, maximizing productivity and efficiency in your daily tasks and commitments.
Based on your notification configuration, you will receive reminders minutes before or at the start of each event via a Taz notification.
Additionally, you can find all your event reminders in the Reminders module for quick reference.
4. View Upcoming Events
Keep track of today's and upcoming events in Zoho Cliq so you can make sure you're on schedule. There are three ways you can quickly access upcoming Google calendar events in Zoho Cliq →
Google Calendar bot: Click on the View menu action → Today's Events or Upcoming events to view them all. Click on More info to view more details. You can also update and cancel the events from this view.
/gcal : Use the slash command to quickly whip up upcoming or today's events from any chat window you'd like, without interrupting your conversation.
Google Calendar widget: You can clearly view today's and upcoming events in the respective tabs in detail — and Update and Cancel the event if needed as well.
You can also easily switch the default calendar if you want to see events of another.
5. Daily Schedule
Receive timely notifications each morning, ensuring your day begins smoothly with a comprehensive overview of all scheduled meetings. This provides you with the necessary clarity and organization to tackle your day effectively.
The Google Calendar bot will notify you every day at 8 AM about any scheduled events for the day, helping you stay on schedule.
