Square is a financial services and mobile payment company that provides tools and software for businesses to accept payments, manage inventory, and track finances. By integrating Square with Zoho Cliq, you can manage all your products, orders, and customers and map them to channels to get notifications.

- Go to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace and search for "Square", or install it directly from this link.
- Choose whether to install the extension for your entire organization or specific teams.
- Accept the extension's permission requests, and you're ready to go.
Features
Add orders
Bot menu action:
- To add a new order using the bot menu, navigate to the Square bot.
- In the message composer, click on the bot actions icon, then select Orders > Add New.
Widget:
- Open the Square widget and go to the Orders tab.
- In the top-right corner, click the New Order button.
Once you select the button, a form will appear for you to enter the order details. Fill in the following fields:
- Quick charge: When you enable this toggle button, it allows merchants to quickly and easily charge customers a predefined amount. If disabled, each item has to be selected manually. Enable for predefined amounts. If disabled, manually select items.
- Amount: Enter the amount (in USD) for quick charge.
- Items, Variation: Select when quick charge is disabled.
- Cart: Once items and variations are selected, add the quantity of items.
- Lock Cart: Enable when all cart items are finalized and ready to order.
- Customer: Select or add a new customer by providing their name, email, and phone number.
Add products
Widget:
- Open the Square widget and go to the Products tab.
- In the top-right corner, click the New Product button.
Once you select the button, a form will appear for you to enter the product details. Fill in the following fields:
- Product: Enter the name of the product.
- Description: Provide a product description.
- Allow Variable Price: Enable if you want the price to vary; disable for fixed prices.
Add customers
Bot menu action:
- To add a new customer using the bot menu, navigate to the Square bot.
- In the message composer, click on the bot actions icon, then select Customers > Add New.
Widget:
- Open the Square widget and go to the Customer Directory tab.
- In the top-right corner, click the New Customer button.
Once you select the button, a form will appear for you to enter the customer details. Fill in the customer's details in the following fields:
- Name
- Contact number
- Email address
- Address
- Cityes.
- State
- Country
- ZIP/Postal code
View orders
Bot menu action:
- To view orders using the bot menu, navigate to the Square bot.
- In the message composer, click on the bot actions icon, then select Orders > View Orders.
Widget:
- Open the Square widget and go to the Orders tab.
- You will find all the orders listed in a tabular column with the order ID, Amount, summary, status, and actions where you can update the order.
- You can switch location to view the orders from a different location.
- You can also search for an order based on from and to date, state, and fulfilment state.
- You can update the status of the order using the Update button.
Slash command:
You can view all your orders list instantly in any chat or channel using the slash command '/square' and select 'Orders.'
View products
Widget:
- Open the Square widget and go to the Products tab.
- You'll find products listed with their name and description.
- Use the Update button to modify product information.
- Search for products by keywords.

View customers
Bot menu action:
- To view orders using the bot menu, navigate to the Square bot.
- In the message composer, click on the bot actions icon, then select Customers > View Customers.
- The list of all your customers will be posted in the bot.
Widget:
- Open the Square widget and go to the Customer Directory tab.
- You will find all your customers listed in a tabular format with details such as name, email, contact number, address, and an update button as action to modify any customer information.
- You can also search for an order based on keywords.
Slash command:
You can view all your customers' list instantly in any chat or channel using the slash '/square' command and select Customers.
Map channel
To map a channel and receive notifications from your Square, you will need a personal access token from your Square account.
To obtain a personal access token:
- Navigate to your developer console in your Square account.
- Create a new application using the plus (âž•) icon.
- Provide a name to the application and click Next.
- After creating the application, copy the Access Token.
To map a channel, do the following:
- Go to your Square bot.
- In the message composer, click on the bot actions icon, then select Notifications > Map Channel.
- Paste the Production Access Token here and click Configure.
- Enable the toggle button if you want to notify via bot.
- Select the channel that you are a part of to receive notifications, select the specific events you want to be notified about, and click Configure.
You will receive notifications on new customers added, customer detail updates, customer deletion, new order creation, and order status update.
Unfurling links
When you send a link to a channel or chat, the link will be unfurled, and the name and description along with details of the order, product, or contact will be displayed.
