Integrate Zoho WorkDrive with Zoho Cliq
Zoho WorkDrive is a content collaboration platform designed for teams to store, share, manage, and collaborate on files of any size.
By integrating WorkDrive with Zoho Cliq, you can bring your files directly into your team conversations. Instead of manually navigating to WorkDrive each time you need to share or upload a document, you can instantly access and share files within Cliq.

Open a conversation with the user.
Click the paperclip icon in the text composer and select Share from WorkDrive.
You will be redirected to your WorkDrive account. Select the file you want to share.
Select the file and click Pick.
The Link Settings window will appear. Under Who can access, choose one of the following options:
Personal: Share the file with a specific user with View permission.
Members with access permission in WorkDrive: Follows the existing permissions set in Zoho WorkDrive. Users who already have access can collaborate on the file, while others will not be able to view it.
Members of {org/team} in WorkDrive: Makes the link accessible to everyone in your organization or team. You can set the permission level to View, View and Comment, or Edit.
Anyone on the internet: Makes the link publicly accessible to anyone with the link, with View permission only.
Click Apply.
Add a comment if required, then click Share.
Share files in a channel
Open the channel.
Click the paperclip icon in the text composer and select Share from WorkDrive.
You will be redirected to your WorkDrive account. Select the file you want to share.
Select the file and click Pick.
In the Link Settings window, choose one of the following under Who can access:
Members with access permission in WorkDrive: Follows the existing permissions set in WorkDrive. Users who already have access can collaborate on the file, while others will not be able to access it.
Members of {org/team} in WorkDrive: Makes the link accessible to everyone in your organization or team. You can set the permission to View, View and Comment, or Edit.
Anyone on the internet: Makes the link accessible to anyone on the internet with View permission.
Toggle ON “Provide permission to members who have access to the channel” to allow all channel members to access the file with View permission.
Click Apply.
Add a comment if required, then click Share.
Upload attachments in Cliq directly to WorkDrive
When an attachment is sent in a conversation, you can upload it to WorkDrive directly from Cliq using the message actions.
To upload an attachment:
Hover over the message and click the ellipsis (⋮) icon.
Select Add to WorkDrive.
Choose the Workspace and Folder where you want to save the attachment.
Click Upload.
Note:
When a member joins a channel or group chat, they automatically gain access to the shared files.
When a member leaves a channel or group chat, their access to the shared files is revoked.
If a user already has a higher level of permission for a file in WorkDrive, that higher permission takes precedence.
Any changes made to a user’s file permissions in WorkDrive after sharing will automatically reflect in Cliq.
Folders cannot currently be shared from WorkDrive.
