Installation
Go to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace and search for "Linear", or install it directly from this link. Choose whether to install the extension for your entire organization or specific teams.
Accept the extension's permission requests, and you're ready to go.
Features
Create an issue
You can create issues in a project using Zoho Cliq.
- Bot menu action: To create an issue using the bot menu action, navigate to the Linear bot, in the message composer, click on the bot actions icon, and click Create Issue.
Slash command: Enter the slash command /createissue in any chat or channel to instantly create an issue.
Message action: Convert a message into an issue using the message action 'Create an issue'. To do so:
Hover over a message, click the three dots (kebab menu) and select More.
Type 'Create an issue' and select the option. A form will appear where you need to fill in the following details and click on Create.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown of each field you'll need to fill out in the form when creating an issue in Zoho Cliq:
Title: A concise, clear summary of the issue.
Description: A more detailed explanation of the issue.
Team: Select the appropriate team responsible for handling this issue.
Workflow State: Choose the status of the issue in your workflow from the following options: Backlog, Cancelled, Done, In Progress, Duplicate, and Todo.
Project: Select the specific project this issue relates to.
Assignee: Choose the person responsible for addressing the issue.
Due Date: Set a deadline for when the issue needs to be completed.
Priority: Assign a priority level to indicate the urgency of the issue from the options: No priority, Urgent, High, Medium, and Low.
Label: Use labels to categorize the issue based on specific criteria, such as "Bug," "Feature Request," or "Improvement."
When an issue is created, a message will be posted that has options to edit or delete the issue.
View issue details
You can easily track issues that are due today, overdue, or have an upcoming due date using the following components:
Bot menu action:
You can navigate to the Linear bot, in the message composer, click the bot actions icon and select View action with the following options:
- Today's Issues: Displays all your issues with a due date of today.
- Upcoming Issues: Displays all your issues with an upcoming due date.
- Overdue Issues: Displays all your issues whose due date has passed.

You can also take actions such as Update to modify issue details.
Widget
In the widget, you can view all your issues based on the team they belong to. Each issue displayed will show details such as the Issue Name, State, Start and End Date, Priority, and actions like Update (to modify issue details) and View (to view the issue in Linear).
The following actions can be performed by users:
Change Team: View the issue details of a different team by switching to the selected team. Change Project: Select a project to view its issues from the chosen team. Apply Filter: Filter your search based on label, status, priority, and assignee.
Slash command
Use /searchissue to view all the issues assigned to you.
Get instant notifications
To get instant notifications on issues, you can map a project to a channel.
To enable notifications, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Linear bot, and in the message composer, click on the bot actions icon and select Notifications menu action.
Select Map Channels.
Choose the team you want to receive issue notifications from, then select the channel where you want the notifications to appear.
To unmap channels:
Select the Unmap Channel option to view all your mapped channels.
Under actions, you can choose to Edit the mapping or Unmap the channel.
For personalized bot notifications:
Go to the bot actions icon in the message composer and select the My Alerts option.
Enable the toggle button, then click Configure to customize your alerts.
Scheduler
The Scheduler posts messages to the designated channel. If there are any issues due today, the Scheduler will automatically post an update at 8:00 AM.
Additionally, if there are issues created in a project in a particular day, the Scheduler will send a reminder at 6:00 PM every day on all the issues created.
