Notion

By integrating Notion with Zoho Cliq, you can manage your documents by bringing in pages and databases and viewing them inside Cliq.

Available Regions:

US, IN, EU, AU, CN, JP

Here's how you can integrate Notion with Cliq:

Installation

Go to Zoho Cliq Marketplace and search for and install "Notion", or click the following link.

After successful installation, you will need to authenticate your Notion account and select the pages you want to give access to inside Cliq.

Note:

If you want to select additional pages, you will have to revoke the current connection and reconnect to select the pages.

Bot

You will receive a bot message posted on the Notion bot upon successful installation. There are four bot actions present in the Notion bot: Add, Search, Update Database, and Help.

Add

By using the Add bot action, you will be able to add a subpage, block, and database entry. A notification will be posted by the bot upon addition.

Search

By using the Search bot action, you will be able to search for a database or page using the keyword. The search results will be posted by the bot.

Update Database

By using the Update Database bot action, you will be able to select and update specific entries in a database.

Help

By selecting the Help bot action, a message will be posted in the bot to guide you through what the integration offers.

The widget has three tabs: Pages, Database, and Active Database.

Pages

All the pages you have given access to will be displayed here. When you click on a page name, you will be directed to the Notion page, where the page you selected will be displayed in column view.

You cannot create new pages from Cliq; you can create a subpage under a page inside Cliq.

Under each card you will find two options: Open and Add Items.

Open - When you click on a Open, you will be directed to the Notion page, where the page you selected will be displayed in column view

Add Items - When you click on Add Items, you'll have the option to switch between two items: Add Page and Add Block

Add Page - Using the Add Page option, you will be able to create a subpage inside an existing page.
You can add a title to the subpage and add additional components such as text elements(Heading 1, 2, 3, paragraph), style elements (Callout, Quote, To-Do, Divider), and media files (Image, Video, PDF, File, and Embed) to the subpage.

Add Block - Using the Add Block option, you will be able to add content to the same page.
You can add components such as text elements (Heading 1, 2, 3, paragraph), style elements (Callout, Quote, To-Do, Divider), and media files (Image, Video, PDF, File, and Embed) to the page.

Search - Using the Search button, you can search for a page by entering a keyword.

Database

All the databases will be displayed here in the form of cards.

Under each database listed, you will find two options: Open and Manage Entries

Open - When you click on Open, you will be directed to the Notion page, where the database you selected will be displayed in column view.

Manage entries - When you click on Manage entries, you'll have the option to switch between two items: Add New Entry and Update an existing entry.

Add New Entry - Using the Add New Entry option, you will be able to create a new entry in the database.
Update an existing entry -
Using the Update an existing entry, you will be able to make changes to the entries already present in the database.

Search - Using the Search button, you can search for a database by entering a keyword.

Active Database

Here, you can view entries of your active database.

Under each listed entry, you will find an option to update them.

You will also be able to search, change the active database, and add entries to the active database.

Search - You will be able to search pages using the Search button.

Change Active Database - You can change your active database and what properties you want to view and manage using the Change Active Database button.

Note:

You can view up to 10 properties in your database inside Cliq.

Add New Entry - Using the Add New Entry option, you will be able to create a new entry in your active database.

Message actions

In Zoho Cliq, you can use message actions to convert a message into a database entry.

Slash commands

You can use the slash command "/notion" in your message composer and use the three suggestions - Add, Search and Update Database.

Add

When you select Add, an Add Item pop-up will appear. You can select what you want to add and a notification will be posted in the chat.

Search

When you select Search, a Search pop-up will appear, where you can enter a keyword. The search results will be posted in the chat.

Update Database

When you select Update Database, an Update Database Entry pop-up will appear, where you can update your database entries. A notification on what is updated will be posted in the chat.
