Reddit is a social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. By integrating Reddit with Zoho Cliq, you'll be able to create posts, search for posts, and enable notifications for them within Zoho Cliq. This helps you save time by not leaving your communication app and still be able to participate in conversations by posting your expert view on a given topic.

The extension is available in the following regions: United States (US)

Installation

Go to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace and search for "Reddit" or install it from here →.
Specify if you want to install the extension for your entire organization or specific teams, then click Install.
Accept the extension's permission requests.

Authenticating your account

Once you receive a bot message confirming successful installation, you'll need to authenticate your account. Follow these steps:

Enter your credentials.
Upon refresh, all your data will be loaded.

Reddit bot

The Reddit bot helps you create posts, view your posts, and enable notifications for new posts in subreddits we follow on mapped channels.

There are four bot actions available in the Reddit bot: Create Post, Notifications, Log In/Out, and Help.

Create Post

This action allows you to create new posts on Reddit.

To create a post, do the following:

Click on the Create Post button.
In the pop-up that appears, fill in the following details:

Subreddit: Select the subreddit from the drop-down menu where you want to create the post.
Post Title: Enter the title of your post.
Content: Type the content of your post in the body section.
Attachments: Optionally, you can add an attachment to your post.

Click Post to post it on Reddit.

Notifications

Configure whether you want to receive notifications in the bot or any specific channel.

Log In/Out

The log in/out bot menu action will let you login by authenticating your account and log out from your reddit account from Zoho Cliq.

Log in

When you click on Log in, you will find two options in the message card: Authenticate now and Validate.

Authenticate

Using the Authenticate button, you can verify your connection and authorize access to your Reddit account.

Once you've successfully authenticated, click Validate to check if the connection is successful or not.

Log out

When you click on Log out, you'll be disconnected from your Reddit account.

The Reddit widget provides a streamlined interface with five main tabs to manage and interact with your Reddit account.

Home

This tab displays your profile details:

Profile Name
Username
Account Created On: The date your account was created.
Verification Status: Indicates if your account is verified.
Karma Count: Displays your total karma points.

Additionally, you can view the subreddits you follow and find a Logout button to sign out of your account.

My Posts

This tab displays all the posts you have created. You can easily browse through and manage your posts from here.

There are two buttons available here: View Post and Create Post.

Top Feeds

This tab shows the top posts on Reddit based on upvotes. It’s a great place to see what’s trending and popular across the platform.

Create Post

You can easily create a post using the Create Post tab, filling in the information you want to post, and clicking Submit.

View Post

You can search posts based on the subreddit and keyword, and all the filtered posts related to the keyword will be displayed here.

You can share a Reddit post by clicking the 'Share' button on the post. Select a channel from the dropdown list, and your post will be sent there.

Slash command

By using the slash command '/redditpost', you will be able to create Reddit posts inside Zoho Cliq.

By using the slash command '/redditsearch', you will be able to search and post as a message any particular post using the subreddit category and keyword.

By using the slash command '/reddittrending', you will be able to view and post as a message all the trending posts.
