Whereby Embedded

Whereby Embedded is a video conferencing platform used for virtual meetings, video conferencing, and collaborative discussions. By integrating Whereby Embedded with Zoho Cliq, you can create and view rooms and join sessions within Cliq. 

Installation 

  1. Navigate to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace.

  1. Search for "Whereby" and install it, or click on the provided link.

  1. Upon successful installation, a bot message will be posted. 

API token authentication 

When performing any action related to the Whereby extension, the API token will have to be authenticated. To set up this authentication: 

  1. Go to Configure in your Whereby account and click the API tab.

  1. Click the Generate Key button. Type a name for your key and click Copy.

  1. In the API token field, type "Bearer", paste the API key, and click on Save Details.

 

An error message will display if an invalid code is entered or the "Bearer" prefix is omitted during authorization. To re-establish the connection, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Zoho Cliq Marketplace and go to the Installed tab.
  1. Select Whereby, click on View All Connections, and select Revoke.

Bot 

The Whereby bot offers three actions: Active Rooms, Help, and Create Room.

Active Rooms 

This action displays a list of currently active rooms with details like the room name, expiration time, and actions (Join Room, View Sessions).

Join Room 

Easily join a room from Zoho Cliq, redirecting you to the Whereby page for session login.

View Sessions  

Explore all sessions within a specific room, where you can view the session ID, date, time, participants, participant minutes, recorded minutes, streamed minutes, and actions such as viewing participants.

Help 

By selecting the Help bot action, the bot will post a message to guide you through what the integration offers.

Create Room 

Instantly create a room within Zoho Cliq through the Whereby bot.

Complete the Create a room form by choosing the desired room size, entering the room prefix, and specifying the room end date; then click the Create button. A message containing the details of the successfully created room will be posted.

Note:

Users can create two types of rooms:

2-4 people

  • Secure peer-to-peer video conferencing for up to four participants simultaneously with end-to-end encryption. This is ideal for patient consultations, customer meetings, and 1:1s.

2-200 people

  • Secure video conferencing for up to 200 participants and 24 active videos simultaneously. This is ideal for large gatherings and virtual events but also works great for meetings with only a few participants.

 Widget 

The Whereby widget has two tabs: Active Rooms and Help.

Active Rooms 

The list of active rooms shows information such as the room name, expiration date, and room URL. It also offers the Join Room and View Sessions actions.

In the top-right corner, you can select the Create Room button to create a room.

Join Room  

Easily join a room from Zoho Cliq and get redirected to the Whereby page for session login.

View Sessions  

Explore all sessions within a specific room where you can view the session ID, date, time, participants, participant minutes, recorded minutes, streamed minutes, and actions such as viewing participants.

Help 

Here, you will be able to view all that the integration offers.

Slash command 

Type "/whereby" in any chat to find two options: Create a Room and Active Rooms.

Select Create a Room for in-chat room creation or Active Rooms to list all active rooms in the chat.

Users can unfurl a room URL in any Zoho Cliq channel. The room details, along with two options, will be available: Join and View Sessions.
