You can add, manage, track tasks and issues from Cliq with the Zoho Projects–Zoho Cliq integration.
Let us look at the different cases on setting up Zoho Projects inside Cliq.
Case 1. Organization has a Zoho Projects account with a portal
To configure, do the following:
Navigate to Admin Panel > Zoho Projects under Integration.
Choose the Zoho Projects portal you want to link with your Cliq account from the list. Once selected, you can access all the projects from the particular portal. You can remove a portal mapped to your Cliq account or switch to another portal. When the changes are done you can click Set.
Case 2. Org admin does not have a Zoho Projects portal but a super admin has a Zoho Projects account with portal
The configuration page will display the following message "Your organization owner already has a Zoho Projects portal. Please check with your organization owner to configure the Zoho Projects portal in Cliq."
Note: The org admin can contact the super admin to map a portal for the organization. Case 3. Organization admin does not have a Zoho Projects account with a portal
When you navigate to Admin Panel > Configurations > Tasks, you will find a toggle button instead of a Configure button.
In this case, you will not be able to see Zoho Projects option under Integrations.
You will be able to create a portal and map it to a Cliq organization by selecting Add a Task tab or Create Task under message actions.
Once you create a task, Cliq assigns the task to a project and to a portal.
Features available based on plan:
Zoho Cliq paid plan : Zoho Projects can be integrated with Zoho Cliq
Zoho Cliq paid plan + Zoho Projects basic plan : Create and manage tasks.
Zoho Cliq paid plan + Zoho Projects paid plan: Create and manage tasks and issues.
Note:
You can integrate Zoho Projects and create tasks and issues only in Org and Team level channels.
The LHS will have the display "Tasks" if the account has a basic Zoho Projects plan and "Projects" for a paid Zoho Projects plan.
Mapping a project to a Channel:
To map a project to a Cliq channel, do the following:
Once a portal is assigned to your organization. You can use the projects in the portal, and add tasks or issues to the respective project.
Click the + icon under the channel header and click on Tasks/Issues under Add Tabs.
When you create a task/issue for the first time, you will have to configure a project to a channel.
You can either select from the existing projects in the portal or create one using Create New.
Once a project is configured to a channel, no other channel can be associated with the same project.
Remove a mapped project from a Channel:
To remove a mapped project from a Cliq channel, do the following:
Select the dropdown in the Tasks/Issues tab, you will find two options: Notification Settings and Remove.
Select Remove to confirm disassociating a project from a channel.
Tasks in Cliq
To create tasks inside Cliq, do the following:
Click the + button in the channel header.
Select Tasks from the options available.
In the pop-up that appears, fill in the relevant details.
You can fill in the Task Name, Description, and Task List. You may also add the details of the Associated Team, Owner, Work Hours, Start Date, Due Date, Priority (Low, Medium, High), Tags, Reminder, Recurrence and Billing Type (Billable, Non-Billable)
Once you have entered the details, click on Add to add the current task. To continue adding another task without closing the window click on Add More.
The task associated with the channel will appear under the Tasks tab where you can update the status of the task.
To manage tasks in Cliq, do the following:
Select the dropdown in Tasks tab, you will find two options: Notification Settings and Remove.
Notification Settings: Select the actions for which you want to receive notifications for. Check the notifications and click on Save.
Remove: You can remove the tasks tab from the channel header. By doing so, all configured tasks will be stopped and restored when the task tab is opened.
To view the tasks in Cliq, do the following:
Click Tasks/Projects in the LHS and you will find all your tasks. You can also customize your LHS view or add a task to your favourites by clicking the star icon.
Different options to view tasks:
Types of views : Classic, Plain, and Kanban.
Filters : Use filters based on different categories to locate or narrow down tasks.
Issues in Cliq
You can create issues inside Cliq only if you have a paid Zoho Projects account.
To create issues inside Cliq, do the following:
Click the + button in the channel header.
Select Issues from the options available.
Click on "Submit issue" to create a new issue.
In the pop-up that appears, fill in the relevant details.
You can fill in the following : Issue Title, Description, Assign To, Reminder, Add Followers. You may also include information about the issue such as Associated Team, Tags, Due Date, Severity (Show stopper, Critical, Major, Minor), Release and Affected Milestone, Module, Classification, Reproducible (Always, Sometimes, Rarely), and Flag(Internal, External).
Once you have entered the details, click on Add to add the current issue. To submit another issue without closing the window, click on Add More.
The issues associated with the channel will appear under the Issues tab where you can update the status of the issue.
To manage issues in Cliq, do the following:
Select the dropdown in issues tab, you will find two options: Notification Settings and Remove.

Create task/issue using the message actions.
To convert a message to a task/issue inside Cliq, do the following:
Hover over the message you want to add as a task or issue.
Select the meatballs menu(...) and click on Create task/ Create Issue.
Projects Bot
The project bot notifies you about the updates in configured task settings. It follows up on your tasks and notifies you with important updates. To manage notifications in the projects bot follow the below steps:
Click on Settings.
Select the actions you want to receive notifications for in the projects bot.
Note:
The number of projects a user can create in an independent portal in Cliq and number of users that can access the portal is unlimited. However, for the Projects portal, it depends on the Projects plan.
