How to share my screen with a user in Cliq?

Web & Desktop

To share your screen in a conversation, do the following:
  1. Click the call icon in the chat header.
  2. You'll be able to make an audio/video call or share your screen. Select Screen Share from the drop-down menu.
  1. A pop-up box displays, prompting you to choose which screen to share. You may also share tab audio by enabling the toggle button.

  2. Select the screen you want to share and then click Share.

  1. Users in the conversation will be notified and will have the option to accept or decline the screen share.

 

Note:
  1. Cliq's Screen Share feature is available in web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, and Safari) and OS (Linux, Mac, and Windows).
  2. For Chrome versions above 72, a Cliq extension is not required. However, if it is 71 and below, you will need it.
  3. You will need Safari version 13 and above for screen share.

Mobile

1-1 & Meetings (iOS)

During a call or meeting, follow these steps to start screen sharing:

  1. Click on the meatballs icon (...) in the call or meeting and click "Start screen share."

  2. A screen will appear, prompting you to click "Start Broadcast." You'll see a note indicating that everything shared will be recorded if the call or meeting is being recorded. It's advisable to enable "Do Not Disturb" (DND) to prevent notifications from being recorded.

  3. Once you've started sharing your screen, you will be informed that the screen is being shared.

  4. To stop screen sharing, you can select "Stop screen share" from the call/meeting interface or return to the meatballs icon (...) and select "Stop Screen share."
  5. A confirmation screen will appear. Click "Stop Broadcast" to stop sharing your screen.
