How do I leave a Channel in Cliq?

There are three ways to leave a Channel:

  1. Click Actions in the bottom right of the chat and Select the Leave option.


  1. Hover over the channel name. A popup displaying the channel info will appear. At the bottom of the popup, click the Leave icon.

  1. Click on the Channel image, a dialog window appears. Click on the Leave option.


A confirmation popup will appear in either case. To confirm leaving a channel, select Leave. 



Tip: Entering the /leave command in the chat textbox is the quickest way to leave a channel.



Note :
  • You can leave a channel at anytime. However, if you wish to rejoin the channel, you must search for them and join. This is applicable for open channels inside an organisation and within a team.
  • You will not find organization and team invite-only, personal and external channels in the search. However, you can join again if a channel user with the appropriate permissions invites you.
  • Super Admins of personal and external channels should assign other users as Super Admin when they leave a channel.
