Each member in a channel has a specific role, and these roles determine what actions they can perform based on the permissions granted. There are five roles in a channel: Super Admin, Admin, Moderator, Member, and Bot.
Super Admin
Super admins have the highest level of privileges and complete control over all channel actions. In organization and team channels, org admins automatically become super admins. In external and personal channels, the channel creator becomes the super admin.
Channel/Team Admin
Super admins assign the admin role. In organization and team channels, the channel creator becomes the channel or team admin by default.
Moderator
Admins and super admins assign the moderator role. Moderators have permissions just below admins and assist in managing channel activities.
Member
All other users in the channel are considered members. They can perform actions based on the permissions enabled for them.
Bot
Bots help automate tasks, send notifications, and set reminders. You can choose from pre-built or custom-built bots depending on your needs.

Note:
If a channel creator (who is not an org admin or team admin) leaves the channel, they will be a Member when they rejoin.
