What is an Event?

An Event is any happening that is scheduled for a particular time. It might be anything from a team meeting to a company level conference. You can create events, invite others, set reminders and track invitees from the comfort of your Cliq Home. Cliq Events syncs with your calendar and keeps you updated at all times.

How to create an Event?

  • Click on the event notifier icon on the top right corner and select Create Event.

  • In the following screen the left side displays the current events, and the right side lets you create a new event.
  • Give a title for the event, fill in the location, date and time.
  • You can add participants under the Add attendees option.
  • Set a reminder for the event and click Create.

  • The reminder, gives you a notification on the time that you have set. e.g., if you had selected 5 mins, then you will get a notification 5 mins before the event starts.

What will happen once the Event is created?

After you fill in the details and click on Create, the event will be created and it will be added to your timeline. If you had invited participants, then all the invited participants will get the notification regarding the event immediately.

How to accept/reject an event?

  • Once an event is created, then the invited participants will get a notification in the Event Notifier, Cliq Home and Mail.

  • In the Event Notifier and Cliq Home notification, click on the event name. In the screen that follows, select any one of the option from AcceptMaybeReject.
  • In mail, select any one of the options directly.
  • The details will get updated to the event immediately.

How to know about the members participation?

Click on the event name and in the screen that follows there will be a display of participants invited under Attendees. Each participant's profile will have a small circle. The circles will either be empty or have a green tick/red cross.

  • The empty circle indicates that the participant may or may not attend the event.
  • The green tick indicates that the participant has accepted the invite.
  • The Red cross indicates that the participant has rejected the invite.
  • The question mark indicates that the participant is yet to view the invite.

What more can the Event creator do?

The event creator can delete the event, invite more participants and reschedule the event.

  • Click on the event name and in the screen that appears, the creator can delete the events by clicking on the delete icon in the left sidebar.The event will be deleted from all the participants timeline.
  • Click on the (+) icon under Attendees to add more participants.
  • Click on Re-schedule to reschedule the event. You can make necessary changes to the event and under add attendees option you can remove a participant by clicking on the participant.
