There are three scenarios where you'll receive email notifications:
- When you receive messages when you're offline - If you receive a message when you're offline and haven't read the message for more than 2 days, then an email will be sent to you.
Note : The above scenario does not apply to users who are active on Zoho Cliq mobile.
- When you're @mentioned - If you are @mentioned in Zoho Cliq but were inactive for 1 hour, then an email will be sent to you.
- When you receive contact invites - If an user sends you a contact invite, you will receive an email regarding the same.
To configure desktop notifications, do the following:
- Click your Contact image in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Profile & Settings from the user panel that appears.

- Select Notifications on the left sidebar of the screen that appears. and select Email. Tick the boxes you want to receive email notifications for.
