In Zoho CommunitySpaces, there are three types of communities that serve specific needs. You can also change your community's type anytime you want.

What types of communities are available in Zoho CommunitySpaces?

Public  
  • Description: Open to everyone—anyone can join, view, and participate.

  • Best For: Broad topics, general interests, and public announcements.

  • Example: A community for tech enthusiasts discussing the latest gadgets.

Private

  • Description: Only invited members can join and access content.

  • Best For: Private teams, confidential discussions, and specialized groups.

  • Example: A gym trainer who is conducting and taking live classes and sessions to fitness lovers.

Closed Public

  • Description: Visible to the public, but membership requires approval.

  • Best For: Moderated participation, publicly visible content, and controlled access.

  • Example: A community for a tech company where users can post feedback.

You can add as many communities you want. However, each will have its own subscription plan.
