Importing events and configuring the calendar

Import events into the calendar  

Use Import Event when you already have events scheduled elsewhere and want them to reflect in the community calendar, by uploading them as a CSV or ICS file.
While importing, choose where you want to add the events, the community wall or a specific space.




Open Events settings  

Open Settings to manage calendar-level configurations for the Events module.


Manage calendar preferences  

In Calendar Preferences, you can customize your:
  • Date format

  • Time format

  • Preferred calendar start day

Any change you make to the calendar start day is reflected everywhere the calendar appears across your community.


Create and manage custom event types  

In Custom Events, hosts can create and manage custom event types.

While creating an event type, you can:

  • Decide who can use that event type to create events

  • Customize which fields appear in the event creation popup

This helps you shape the form so it matches the exact information members should provide.



You can also re-order the list through drag and drop using the three dash option.
