Editing and deleting a forum post
Overview
You can edit a forum post to update its content or fix errors anytime after publishing. If a post is no longer relevant, you can delete it to remove it from the forum.
Who can edit a forum post?
Only the post author can edit the forum post.
How do I edit a forum post?
- Click Forums in the left menu.
- Go to the post you'd like to edit.
- Click the three dot [...] icon in the top-right corner of the post.
- Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
- Make the required changes and click Update in the top-right side.
Who can delete a forum post?
The post author, superhost, and communityhosts can delete forum posts.
How to delete a forum post?
- Click Forums in the left menu.
- Go to the post you'd like to delete.
- Click the three dots [...] icon in the top-right corner of the post.
- Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
When you delete a forum post, it will be moved to Trash and will be permanently removed 90 days after deletion.
To restore the deleted forum post,
- Click the three dots (...) icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Click Trash.
- Either Restore to retrieve the post.
Click Delete to erase the post permanently.
