Enabling/disabling comments on a forum post

Overview
If you want to share information without opening it up for discussion, you can disable and enable comments on a post. This is useful for announcements, guidelines, or any update that doesn’t require member responses.
 

How to disable comments while creating a forum post?  

  1. Click Forums in left menu.



  2. Click the plus icon [+] in the top-right corner.



  3. Draft your post content in the editor.
  4. Click the gear icon next to the tag icon.



  5. Select Disable Comments from the dropdown.

 

How to disable comments after publishing a forum post?  

  1. Click Forums in the left menu.



  2. Open the post where you want to restrict comments.
  3. Click the three dots (…) icon in the top-right corner of the post.
  4. Select Disable comments from the dropdown.

 

How to enable comments after publishing a forum post?  

  1. Click Forums in the main menu on the left.
  2. Open the post you'd like to enable the comments for.
  3. Click the three dots (…) icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Enable comments from the dropdown.
