Managing settings & moderation in forums

Overview
As a superhost and host, you get full control over how forum discussions are created, managed, and monitored within your community. With the available settings and moderation options, you can ensure a safe, organized, and engaging experience for all community members.

Accessing Forum Settings  

From the Forum settings, you can control who is allowed to create forum posts and decide whether selecting a category should be mandatory. These settings help you manage contributors and keep discussions well-organised.
To perform this,
  1. Go to Forums.



  2. Click gear icon in the top-right corner.



  3. In the pop-up, choose who can create posts and enable mandatory category selection if needed.



Notes
SuperHost and Hosts can bypass these permissions.

Moderation controls  

Moderation tools help maintain a safe and respectful environment.
To enable moderation,
  1. Go to Forums.



  2. Click gear icon in the top-right corner.



  3. In the pop-up, go to Moderation tab and use the toggle button to enable moderation.



  4. Choose whether you'd like to moderate only posts, only comments or both.


Notes
When enabled, you can either add moderators to help monitor and manage content, or you can handle the moderation yourself.
 
To add moderators,
  1. Click Add Moderator.



  2. Search and add people as moderators.

 

Adding whitelist users

NotesWhitelisted users can bypass the moderation and settings you’ve configured.

To add whitelist user,
  1. Click Add user.



  2. Search and add people as whitelisted users.
