This section helps a superhost make engagement more visible, motivating, and measurable by rewarding members with points, levels, and badges. It is especially useful when you want to encourage community participation, highlight member contributions, and create a stronger sense of progression.
Use Gamification when you want to:
Reward members for participating in the community
Create visible progression through levels
Recognize member contributions through badges
Make the leaderboard more meaningful
Reinforce the kinds of actions your community values most
A thoughtful gamification setup helps a superhost guide member behavior by rewarding the activities that matter most to the community.
Start with Points to assign points to the actions members perform in the community.
You can configure points for activities like:
Creating posts
Likes and comments
Forum participation
Polls
Manuals activity
Adding a profile picture
Once configured, members automatically earn points whenever they complete those activities.
This gives a superhost control over what the community should reward. If you want members to create more content, you can assign stronger rewards to posting. If you want richer engagement, you can reward comments, reactions, or participation across modules.
This means Points is not just a scoring system; it's also a way to influence what kind of participation becomes more common in the community.
Use Levels to create a progression path based on the points members earn.
To create a level:
Click Add Level.
Define the point range for that level.
Choose an image. Select from the gallery images or upload your own.
Enter the level name.
Click Create.
Repeat this process to create multiple levels that members can progress through over time.
This helps a superhost make growth in the community feel more visible and rewarding. Instead of points existing only as a number, levels turn them into milestones that members can recognize and work toward.
Levels are especially useful when you want to:
Make participation feel progressive
Give members visible recognition as they become more active
Create a clearer path from new member to active contributor
Use Badges to recognize members for achievements.
Badges can be configured in two ways:
Recognition badges
Milestone badges
This allows a superhost to support both manual appreciation and automatic achievement-based recognition.
Use badges when you want recognition to feel more visible and meaningful than points alone. While points show cumulative participation, badges highlight specific contributions, skills, or milestones.
Use Recognition when you want a badge to be awarded manually.
To create a recognition badge:
Click Create Badge.
Choose Badge Type.
Enter the badge name.
Add the description (optional).
Upload or choose the badge image.
Configure:
Who can receive the badge
Who can award the badge
Points for the person receiving the badge
Points for the person awarding the badge
Optionally, enable Set receiving limit if the same member should receive the badge only a limited number of times within a selected time frame.
Click Create.
Recognition badges are useful when appreciation should come from judgment, not automation. This helps a superhost support peer recognition, host recognition, or role-based appreciation for contributions that may not be captured by activity counts alone.
For example, a recognition badge can be useful when you want to appreciate someone for:
Being especially helpful
Contributing expert guidance
Supporting other members consistently
Demonstrating leadership in the community
Use Milestone when you want badges to be awarded automatically after members complete an action a certain number of times.
To create a milestone badge:
Click Create Badge.
Choose Badge Type (if needed).
Enter the badge name.
Add the description.
Upload or choose the badge image.
Configure the badge criteria:
Choose the engagement action
Set the required count (the number of points the member should reach)
Choose the number of points to reward
Enable repeat reward if the badge should be awarded every time the milestone is reached.
Click Create.
Milestone badges are useful when you want recognition to happen automatically at scale. This helps a superhost reward consistent engagement without needing manual follow-up every time a member reaches a target.
For example, if members earn points for sharing ideas, and you create a milestone badge for idea contributions, members who reach that milestone automatically receive the badge along with bonus points that improve their leaderboard position.
In the badge list, you can review:
The badge name
Recipients, where you can open the member count to see who earned the badge
The points configured for that badge
To manage a badge, use the three-dot menu next to it.
From there, you can:
Edit the badge details
Export badge details
Enable or Disable the badge temporarily
Delete the badge permanently
You can also use Award Badge to manually award recognition badges to members.

This gives a superhost the flexibility to refine the recognition system over time, review who has earned what, and temporarily pause a badge without removing it entirely.
Open Advanced when you want to reset engagement history or schedule resets.
This section gives a superhost long-term control over how gamification data should behave.
Use Manual Reset when you want to reset engagement history immediately.
You can choose to reset:
Points
Badges
or both
Then select the date until which data should be reset and click Reset.
This is useful when you want to clean up older gamification history or restart the system from a particular point.
Use Scheduled Reset when you want points or badges to reset automatically at recurring intervals.
You can schedule resets for one or both of the following:
Points
Badges
Next, choose how often the reset should repeat:
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
Yearly
Finally, choose the reset time and click Schedule Reset.

Scheduled resets are useful when the community wants to treat gamification in cycles, such as monthly or quarterly engagement periods, instead of keeping a lifetime scoring model.
Under Policies, you can decide whether it should be mandatory for users to:
Select a space
Write a message while awarding a badge
Enabling this policy makes appreciation more meaningful and visible, because the badge award is shared with context instead of being given silently.
This helps a superhost ensure that badge awards feel more intentional and community-facing, rather than just transactional. It also encourages recognition to become part of the shared culture of the community.
Gamification helps a superhost do more than reward activity. It helps shape the type of participation the community values, recognize contributors more visibly, and create a stronger sense of momentum as members engage over time.
