Convert Host to Member and Vice Versa

Convert Host to Member and Vice Versa

Overview

In any community, roles and responsibilities can shift over time. Whether you're streamlining management or empowering a member to take on more duties, you can change a user’s role between Host and Member.
Check out this guide to understand Host and Member roles in the community.

Who can change roles?

Only superhosts and hosts can convert a member to a host and vice-versa.

Best practices to consider

  • Only grant host privileges to those that you trust with content moderation and community setup.
  • Hosts get the highest level of control and can override any role changes.
  • There's no limit to the number of hosts, but too many can make community management confusing.
