Locking, archiving, and deleting a space
Overview
You can lock, archive, or delete a space whenever needed in the community.
Only the group admin, hosts, and Superhost can lock, archive, or delete a space.

Superhost and community hosts can access a space's settings even for the spaces they're not part of. All spaces of a community can be managed from Manage Spaces page in Spaces.
Locking a Space
Locking a space stops all further activities. If it's a public space, it will still appear on the Public Spaces page.
How to lock a space:
Click the three dots (...) icon near the space header.

From the dropdown, click Settings.
In the pop-up, go to the Advanced tab.

Click Lock Space.
You can unlock the space anytime.
Archiving a Space
Archiving restricts new activities, but existing content remains viewable. Archived spaces won't appear in the Public Spaces section or search results.
How to archive a space:
Click the three dots (...) icon near the space header.

From the dropdown, click Settings.
In the pop-up, go to the Advanced tab.

Click Archive Space.
Optional: Check Don't show this space in search results to hide it from searches.
Deleting a Space
Deleting a space permanently removes all content. However, admins can export conversations and manuals before deletion.
How to delete a space:
Click the three dots (...) icon near the space header.

From the dropdown, select Settings.
Under the General tab, click Delete Space.

You cannot delete a paid space unless you change its access type first.
