Sync Contacts from Google

You can sync your contacts from your Google account with Zoho Contacts.

  1. Go to contacts.zoho.com. You can also access contacts through your Zoho Mail.
  2. Click themenu option and select Import.
  3. Click Category in the Where to import? section.
  4. Select the category you want to import your Google Contacts to and then click the Google link.

    Note: Personal is the default branch for Google Sync, and it is not available for Organization.
     

  5. In the pop-up window,
    • If you choose Import Contacts From Google, it will import all of your Google Contacts.
    • If you choose Sync contacts from Google, it will import and sync your Google Contacts with Zoho Contacts.
  6. Select I agree and then click Import.
    Note: When you click Import a new pop-up window prompts. If you don't see the window, disable your browser's pop-up blocker.
  7. Choose the account you want to import your contacts from and click Allow.
  8. A new division called Synced Contacts will appear below the Where to import? section. You can view the details such as the date of the last sync and synced Google account by clicking the Google Two-Way Sync.

Zoho Contacts will not recognize phone numbers and emails that have invalid formats.
Zoho Contacts will sync and import new contacts from your Google Contacts automatically once everyday by default.
Sync now helps users sync their contacts with Google manually. You can't sync contacts from two different accounts unless you deactivate the current account. Also, multiple Zoho accounts can't be synced to a single Google account at the same time.
Changes made in Zoho Contacts will immediately reflect in the Google Contacts, whereas changes made in Google Contacts will be updated in Zoho Contacts once the sync with Google is completed.

Disable Google Contacts Sync

If you want to disable or deactivate the sync with Google :
  1. Log into Zoho Contacts
  2. Navigate to Synced Contacts in the Import Contacts section.
  3. Click Google Two-Way Sync.
  4. Use the toggle bar to disable the daily sync manually.
  5. Click Deactivate sync settings to remove your Google account and prevent it from syncing permanently.
