How to register a domain

Follow these steps to search and register your domain with us. The process is designed to guide you through each step efficiently.

1. Log in to your Zoho Domains account

  Access your account by logging in with your credentials.

2. Domain Search

To start the domain registration process, head to the Domain Search page.

• Search Bar:
  In the center of the page, you'll find a search bar. You can:

• Enter a fully qualified domain name (e.g., "example.com").
• Enter a keyword or term you're interested in, and we'll suggest available domain names related to your search.

• Using the "Select Endings" Option:

The Select Endings feature allows you to refine your domain search by choosing specific Top-Level Domains (TLDs) such as .com, .org, .net, or industry-specific TLDs.

When you click Select Endings, a filter menu appears on the right, enabling you to select categories or individual TLDs that suit your requirements. After selecting your preferences, click "Apply" to filter the domain results accordingly.

• Search:
  After entering your desired domain or keyword, press Enter or click the Search button. This will take you to the Domain Results Page, where you can check the availability of your domain.

3. Domain Results

Once you perform a search, you'll be directed to the Domain Results page.

• Available Domain:
  If the domain is available, you'll see an Add to Cart button. Click it and proceed with registration, or continue browsing for other options.
• Unavailable Domain:
  If the domain is already taken, we’ll inform you that it’s unavailable. Don't worry—suggested available domains related to your search will appear below.
• Multiple Domains:
  You can add multiple domains to your cart. Click Add to Cart next to all domains you wish to add to your cart.

4. Cart Page

Once you’ve added the domains to your cart, you'll be directed to the Cart Page, where you can review and manage your selections.

• Domains in Cart:
  All the domains you've chosen will be listed, along with a breakdown of the total cost.
• Modify Registration Duration:
  By default, domains are registered for one year. If you’d like to secure your domain for a longer period, you can adjust the registration duration.
• Total Amount:

The total cost for each selected domain, excluding taxes (if applicable), will be shown individually according to the registration period.

When you're ready to proceed, click Proceed to Checkout.

5. Checkout Page

On the Checkout page, you need to provide the contact information.

• Registrant Information:
  Enter the Registrant Information, which will be associated with domain ownership. This is the official contact for the domain.
• Billing Contact:
  By default, the Billing Contact is the same as the Registrant. If your billing address is different, you can toggle the option to enter separate billing details.
• Tax Calculation:
  Based on the information you provide, the system will calculate any applicable taxes. The tax amount will be shown next to the total cost.
• Tax ID (Optional):
  If you're eligible to enter a Tax ID, you can provide it in the field provided. The system will validate your Tax ID for accuracy.
• Domain Pricing Overview:
  A summary of the domain pricing, including taxes (if applicable), will be displayed. Review this information before proceeding.

When everything looks good, click Proceed to Payment.

6. Payment

On the Payment Page, you'll choose your preferred payment method.

• Payment Options:
  We offer multiple payment methods, including credit/debit card, PayPal, and other secure options.
• Confirm Payment:
  Once your payment is processed, you'll receive a confirmation message, and your domain registration will be complete!

Domain Successfully Registered

After payment is confirmed, your domain will be officially registered. You’ll also receive an email confirmation with all the details of your new domains.
