How do I migrate my data from other service into Zoho Invoice?

You can import invoices, estimates, items, customers, contact persons, payments and expenses from another system into Zoho Invoice. Here are the steps to migrate easily:

Before you begin:

• Ensure that you have all your data on a CSV or a TSV file.
• In Zoho Invoice, the subscription model is based on the number of invoices that you create. Check under Subscription Details to see how many invoices you can import. If you see that you have about 10 invoices left for the month while you'd like to import about 50, write to us and we'll credit the required invoices to your account.

Guidelines for a perfect import:

• Select the exact file format from the drop-down list (CSV or TSV) during the import
• Make sure that you select the same date format as that on your import file for the Invoice Date field
• You can either retain the invoice numbers on your import file or check the Auto-generate Invoice Numbers option to let the system assign new invoice numbers.
• Once you are done importing the invoices, all the invoices will be listed as "Draft" until you import the payments.
