Connecting LinkedIn Lead Ads and Zoho CRM

LinkedIn, with over 1 billion users worldwide, is the largest professional network where individuals and businesses can connect and discover opportunities. It's also one of the best platforms for B2B marketers to increase awareness about their brand, generate leads, and convert them into customers; all with the help of LinkedIn Ads.

Ads on LinkedIn are the means by which you gather and qualify leads for your business. Businesses can customize and setup Lead Gen Forms that helps you capture valuable information from your prospects right from LinkedIn. Various types of lead gen ads can be created such as single image, video, carousel, message, document, and conversation with an appropriate CTA. Since the form opens up within LinkedIn, all the basic information will be pre-populated, making it easy for your audience to submit, thereby increasing the conversion rate.

Connecting LinkedIn Lead Ads and Zoho CRM

Zoho LeadChain lets you connect your LinkedIn Lead Ads and Zoho CRM and synchronize the leads automatically to the Leads/Contacts module. It involves the following steps.
  1. Connecting the apps
  2. Mapping the fields

Connecting the apps

This step lets you configure the source and the destination, in this case the source will be LinkedIn Lead Ads and the Destination, Zoho CRM. The source section lets you connect your LinkedIn account, the LinkedIn ad account, and select the Form from which the generated leads are to be pushed to CRM. The destination section lets you configure where the leads can be saved in Zoho CRM. You can either choose the Leads/Contacts module.

The following options are also available to further customize the flow of data from LinkedIn Lead Ads to Zoho CRM.

Segment the leads generated
  1. CRM Tags
This option lets you categorize or group all the leads generated from LinkedIn Lead Ads with the help of Tags. These are like labels that can be added to the lead's record and comes handy when you want to search, sort, filter the leads generated from LinkedIn in Zoho CRM.

  2. CRM Campaigns
This option lets you associate the leads generated from LinkedIn Lead Ads to a Marketing Campaign. Say you have created a lead nurturing email campaign in your CRM, and you want all the leads generated from LinkedIn Lead Ads to be part of the campaign. You can select the appropriate CRM Campaign from the list, and all the leads will be automatically associated.

  3. Choose the CRM Layout
A layout in Zoho CRM houses all the fields where information about the leads can be stored. Multiple layouts can be created and managed in Zoho CRM to capture the right set of data that's required for the processes involved in your business. Choosing the right CRM layout here helps ensure all the desired information about the leads that are generated from LinkedIn Lead Ads are synchronized seamlessly. The field mapping that's involved in Step 2, completely depends on the layout that's chosen here.

  4. Choose Assignment Rule
Assignment rules in Zoho CRM simplifies the process of associating an appropriate owner to further nurture the leads that are generated. This might involve various criteria based on region, the lead source, type of industry the lead belongs to, and so on.
Synchronizing the LinkedIn Lead Ads with Zoho CRM can results in large volume of records in the Leads/Contacts module and it might be impossible to associate an appropriate owner for all the leads. By choosing the appropriate assignment rule during this integration, ensures that the right owner gets the lead that they are looking for and start nurturing.

Field Mapping

This stage lets you map all the fields in your LinkedIn Lead Ads form with the appropriate field in Zoho CRM. This defines what data will be captured in your CRM for a lead or a contact. You can either map the appropriate fields in Zoho CRM with the fields from LinkedIn Lead Ads or define a default value for a field. For example, Zoho CRM has a Lead Source field that lets you identify and track the various sources from which leads enter your CRM. Here, you can define a default value as LinkedIn Lead Ads, so that any leads generated from Lead Ads will have the lead source as LinkedIn Lead Ads in CRM, which helps you identify them with ease.
