How to get started with custom portals?
Custom portal allows you to create multiple external portals that you can use to share manuals and courses with external stakeholders who are not part of your hub. With your hub as the primary portal, you can create multiple secondary portals for different external users of your organization.
Below are the recommended steps you can follow to set up your custom portal:
General settings
Set basic configurations, access privileges, and sign-up options for your portal.
- Configure name, description, and URL
- Choose between public or private portal type
- Choose if users require Sign up for access
- Choose if users require admin approval for Sign up
Customizing your portal
Customize your portal to match your brand, set up a custom URL, modify navigation tabs, and set up SEO configuration for your portal.
- Map a custom domain URL
- Set branding preferences and color theme
- Rename, reorder, and choose navigation tabs
- Set banner image for public portals
- Enter Robots.txt, Site map, Google analytics, and webmaster information
Sharing courses and manuals
Add manuals and courses that are available in your hub to your custom portal and set access privileges based on who should access the resources.
- Add manuals to your portal
- Choose the access privilege for the manuals
- Add courses to your portal
- Choose the access privilege for the courses
User settings
Invite users to your portal, manage sign-ups, and add users to your manuals and courses to allow them to access your resources.
- Invite individual users or import CSV
- Manage sign-ups if admin approval is enabled
- Add users to the manuals and courses added to the portal
