Being assigned as an approver for a manual means that you have been given the privilege to review and approve the content of a manual before it is published. As an approver, you can either approve the articles or suggest changes to them before they are finalized.
You can also view the other approvers of an article in the approvers section. Hovering over the approvers will show you their name and the approval status they have given for the article.
How to approve an article?
Approvers will receive in-app notifications and email notifications when an action has to be performed from their end. You can choose to either mark the article as approved or suggest changes to it.
Mark as Approved- When you choose the Mark as Approved option, the article will be marked as approved and the author can publish it.
How to mark an article as approved:
Click on the Approve button that appears on top of the article view of the article that requires your action.
Choose Mark as Approved.
Enter relevant notes in the Notes section.
Click Approve.
Suggest Changes- If you choose to Suggest Changes, the author of the article will have to make the necessary changes suggested by you and then resend it for review.
How to suggest changes to an article:
Click on the Approve button that appears on top of the article view of the article that requires your action.
Choose Suggest Changes.
Enter your suggestions in the Notes section.
Click Proceed.
How to view articles that are awaiting your approval?
Viewing pending articles and taking timely action can help you improve your productivity and efficiency. This helps you keep track of the articles that await your action.
1. Click on the Pending actions icon.
2. You will find all the articles awaiting your action listed in the Awaiting Approval section within Unapproved Articles.
You can view the articles that you've completed reviewing by clicking the Completed tab.
